Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing or using MetafieldWatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MetafieldWatch is a Shopify application that helps merchants manage, scan, and optimize metafields across their store. Features include:

• Metafield scanning and health scoring
• Bulk editing and management
• Import and export functionality
• Templates for metafield structures
• Issue detection and recommendations

3. Eligibility

You must have an active Shopify store and be authorized to install apps on that store. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

4. Account and Access

Access to MetafieldWatch is provided through your Shopify account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account credentials. We are not liable for any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your account.

5. Pricing and Billing

MetafieldWatch offers various subscription plans including a free tier. Paid subscriptions are billed through Shopify's billing system according to the plan you select.

• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Refunds are handled according to Shopify's refund policies
• You can cancel or change your plan at any time

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems to abuse the App's features
• Resell or redistribute access to the App
• Violate Shopify's Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of MetafieldWatch is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

MetafieldWatch and all associated trademarks, logos, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

You retain ownership of all data and content from your Shopify store. We claim no intellectual property rights over your metafields or store data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

MetafieldWatch is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Accuracy or reliability of any information
• Security or freedom from viruses

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from use or inability to use the App
• Damages from unauthorized access to your data

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MetafieldWatch and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may uninstall MetafieldWatch at any time through Shopify's app management. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 48 hours in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Shopify's requirements.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
